Break outs

Break outs?! Why now? Currently I've been using a different acne product every month to see what's best. More later...

Intro/First Post

This is the blog for arentyoujustgreat.com .  A website for everything and all things beauty in a brutally honest setting. Please don't take these post to heart. We can't like everything and everybody. Some people piss us off and something just aren't meant for us. This is a site for a mentally mature crowd. We will try our best to be polite, but sometimes words like piss, damn and the occasional f-bomb may slip through our finger tips. The biggest thing we want to do here is tell you the truth, project and accurate image of things and we think that separates us from other bloggers. So let's start with the hardest thing of all....fragrance.
Fragrance 101...common known fact that there are several different forms of scents. Most commonly eau de parfum, eau de toilette, body mist/spray, lotions and soaps. Prices are paired up from highest to lowest in that order. Let me tell you something, eau de parfum is a waste of money. End of story. There's no need for it. It is a more concentrated formula but that doesn't mean that its worth $30 more. We are personally toilette gals, maybe some lotion to make it last/be more capturing. Here are our favs and why:
Angel by Theirry Mugler (only in the winter this smells like candy, chocolate and moss...in a very tasty way)
Heavenly by Victoria's Secret (yes you will smell like everyone on the planet because its a best seller...for a reason)
Ralph Lauren Polo 4 by Ralph Lauren (summer fun...sweet and sexy)
Love Struck by Vera Wang (floral but not toooooo floral and very versatile)
Bath and Body Works Body Sprays (all of them because they last a while and are true to scent)
Black Orchid by Tom Ford (for some reason everyone loves this scent on all four of us)
All these listed are available at sephora or Bath and Body Works/Victoria's Secret stores or online but we REALLY encourage you to go into stores with a clear nose and in a good mood (don't know why but it always helps). The best place to go for this I find is sephora and Nordstroms. Almost all stores will make you a sample to take home if you ask. Nordtroms has the a wider selection and has a tendency, we've found anyway, to load you up with samples that make sense for you at check out (really who needs 3d anti aging creams in your 20's or mens samples when you come in solos?).
All of the scents listed above are our favs for one major reason: THEY LAST. A while. Most of the day. Nothing is more disappointing than loosing your scent at noon.
Another tip: READ REVIEWS. Yes we know everyone is different but if the scent is fleeting on everyone or changes over time on everyone, good chances are....well..you know.
Fragrance is expensive. Some even say a waste of money. One of our contributors currently has 43 fragrances and rarely uses any of them. Chances are she has it. Chances are she regrets the purchase. Choose wisely and choose for you. Or make sure they take returns.
